| Song Title | Date | Notes |
| The One more info | 02/27/2007 | Lyrics by Shawfey. Inspiration by Publix deli lady. |
| Fed Bought Me A Shirt more info | 07/19/2006 | Fed bought me a shirt. In return I wrote him this song. See this. |
| Freak On a Mic more info | 05/24/2006 | For my friend Wade. |
| Gloria more info | 11/21/2005 | Another special Christmas request from Lester. This is becoming a tradition. (Last year I did "Carol of the Bells".) It's all good - I love me some Christmas music.
I played around a lot with harmony. A borrowed 5 string bass added a much-needed low B. |
| Carol of the Bells more info | 12/23/2004 | I recorded this by request for my lovely wife Lester. I have always liked this song. It sounds heavy even when performed by a brass ensemble. I hope she likes it.
Written by Mykola Dmytrovich Leontovych, 1916. (More info here if you're interested.) |
| Anxious Nervosa more info | 01/19/2004 | An instrumental I recorded years ago that I've been wanting to re-do. |
| Direct To Helmet more info | 01/11/2004 | Bring on the keyboards. Instrumentally speaking, this is the best sounding song I've done. |
| Dog Without Warning more info | 12/27/2003 | Another songfight submission. The rhythm guitars sounded good for a chage. I mic'd them this time. Not real happy with the vocals as usual. I sang mostly in tune, my voice just sucks. |
| Soft Orange Glow more info | 12/11/2003 | A SongFight submission. I think the chorus is pretty catchy. I don't smoke pot. |
| Fromunda Cheese more info | 11/16/2003 | I have been wanting to do a self-indulgent guitar solo song and this is it. Writing instrumentals is more difficult
than I thought. With vocals, you can use a lot of repetition with the music because people will be listening to the
vocals. With instrumentals, the challenge is to keep it interesting and not repeat things too much.
That being said, this song is mostly guitar wankage. |
| The Muse more info | 10/09/2003 | I think this could be a really good song if recorded professionally with a good singer. |
| Happy Machine Ankle more info | 09/25/2003 | Another songfight submission. The title created a real challenge. How can anyone work "Happy Machine Ankle" into a song? It was tough. Has nice guitar harmonies. The part at 1:50 is the best chord progresion I've ever written. I was going for some Queen-like freshness. |
| Step Up more info | 09/14/2003 | My 2nd songfight submission. I went for pop-rock with a country-ish flavor. The guitar solos are mostly slop. Once again, lyrics are an after-thought. |
| Space Cadet more info | 09/04/2003 | I wrote this for songfight but had tech problems and never submitted it. Definitely my best lyric writing: "She's a space cadet - wearing only red - glamour fashionista on a train". Also has some fresh free-form guitar wankage. |
| Accelerator more info | 09/01/2003 | My first submission to songfight. The guitar melody in the verses reminds me of Scooby Doo. |
| Girl1 more info | 08/15/2003 | The guitar solo is an homage to Randy Rhoads. |
| El Sol more info | 07/31/2003 | I wrote this for my friend Tony of Brown Skin Natives. I ended up adding a melody guitar line for flavor. |
| Get Some more info | 03/28/2003 | A goofy funk song, also recorded at Max's house. The horns came out nice. Mucho splicing. |
